SamBarnett2015
Hello, I am thinking of changing my timing belt on my 1.8 tdci 2006 mk2 focus, just wondering if it is neccersary to remove the head and set the No.1 to TDC, or can I remove the belt and keep the cams in the exact same position to when the belt was taken off ? I have a Haynes manual and it highlights stages, however I was wondering if it could be done this way to make it an easier job. Many thanks! stef123
You will need the correct locking tools to hold the cam and crank in the correct position.
