Mk2 Focus 1.6 Petrol Aux Belt

hi guys can anyone tell me what ways the aux belt goes on as i bought my car and someone had already take the alternator off and i cant figure out how the belt goes back on.

Yes but aircon is run on a seperate belt

ok, just drawn how it goes,

Thats the way i thought but the belt that came off was alot bigger than the new one i bought and also theres a idler at the back of the engine. Its sort of above the crank and to the left on the drawing :s i think ill just try and fit the new belt and see what happens

this is how it should be, take aphoto of the idler your descibing

try a search on ebay for a complete second user engine ..do you know what your code is?
