i am looking at buying a Focus ST3 2006 and the lad i am buying it off has tolled me to get into his bonnet he needs to us a screw driver and to fix it is going to be £150 or something is it a big job and will it cost a arm and a leg to fix as i am just trying to find out price be for i go for it looked up on here and looks expensive please help be for i buy

    ford charged me £90 to get it fixed, they replaced the cylinder lock which is the common place for it to fail.

    however i have now purchased one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-FORD-Focus-C-Max-2004-2011-Bonnet-Lock-Catch-Cable-Clip-UPGRADE-PART-/252078267150?

    its designed to repalce the part that commonly fails, and ill be using it the next time mine fails, and it could be all you need to fix the issue on that car... if you can get it open.

    had mine replaced but at my mates garage allso did the cam belt so I think the price he did mine so its mates rates it was under £200 all in so it will not apply
