Wipers Only One Speed

Featured Replies

Good Morning FOC

I'll got a Focus 2008 and the wipers only work on one speed, in intermittent wipe..

Can anyone please tell me if it could be a relay and where is it to be found ?

Or something else ?

any help would great

thanks in advance..

Do they work on other speeds in the other positions, just not auto? Or is it only intermittent you can get?

The relays are integrated into the GEM and they rarely go wrong from what I've seen.

Hi Tom

Wipers work in slow and fast OK but only one speed on intermittent

Where's GEM ?

(First Ford)

Regards

John.

Ah ok, do you have auto wipers or the variable intermittent on the stalk? I would say it's a rain sensor fault if they're auto. Have you recently had a windscreen change?

The GEM is intergrated with the fuseboard under the glovebox. If you look underneath there are two black thumb twist screws, undo them and pull the board down and towards to you to see it. You can't remove the relays though, they are part of the board.
