hi having trouble with dpf

we had engine malfunction message and management light on

no power but driveable

put some dpf cleaner in tank and that has cleared the problem

how long can we use cleaner for

    How many miles has the car done? Is the additive tank topped up? Do you regularly get it running to temperature and long enough runs to clear the dpf?

    When I was getting my turbo replaced (wear and tear, not engine or dpf related) I got my dpf gutted and mapped out for peace of mind, passed mot and has no change to driving, option to consider if you have more issues (Y)

    I'm shocked that lenny and a few others haven't been over here yet to explain the benefits of getting the DPF gutted and the car remapped... And also the risks of driving with a blocked DPF

    Well, it is as no brainer, minor legalities and moral objections aside, a few hundred quid now or 3 or 4 times as much later, its your choice!

    the DPF is the root of (almost) all evil!
