How To Tell Yolk/clutch Bearing Is Ok? (removed)

Featured Replies

Bought a mk6 fiesta with clutch gone,

Pedal went up and down but wouldn't go in gear.

Took box out and clutch is rubbing on some rivets so worn right down.

But the difference between 2 piece and 3 piece clutch kit is £50!

So while box is out and before I order kit how can I check yolk bearing is ok?

Thanks guys

If in wrong section please say. Thanks

Don't take a gamble change everything.

It's £50 more for bearing though lol

Up to you but I'd rather take the box out once

Ye but if it's Ok then it's not worth changing surely

I would change it for the extra £50, it wont last .

Put it this way, been there before a few times when the car owner wanted to save money, cost them more in labour when 6 months later the bearing needed doing, ok if your doing it your self and dont mind risking it.

Ye doing it myself

So I just wana make sure it's Ok as of now. Not assed if goes in months time
