Oil Filter Location On 1.8 Tdci Mk2?

Featured Replies

Just wondering where abouts is the oil filter on my 2008 1.8 TDCI and what's the best way to get at it?

Also if I am changing the fuel filter, is there anything I need to do (i.e bleeding the line) or can I just swap filters out?

the oil filter is at the back of the engine, right above the drivers side driveshaft. best way to get at it is while under the engine. its in abit of a awkward place as all the oil will drip into the driveshaft but thats how it is

when changing the fuel filter, make sure you use genine ford, and make sure the filter housing is brim with fuel when you replace it. this way you wont need to bleed the system as it should start.

as above but try not let the fuel in the line leaving the fuel filter dribble its contents, too much air on that side an you might need to prime it properly

Clamp off the fuel line to avoid too much leak back into the tank.

Diesel Focus can be a pig to start.
