Where Is The Egr Valve!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Trying to help a mate with his service and were going to blank the EGR at the same time however i just cant see it.

The car is a 60 plate unsure what MK that is and its the 95BHP 1.6TDCI

Could anyone post up a pic of its location?

I have advised me pal to buy a Haynes but weather he does or not is a different matter :P

It's a MK7

Make sure you use a stainless steel blanking plate & NOT an aluminium or home made one made out of baked beans or coke cans !

Yes - I've seen it done bizarrely

Haha i know to use the good stuff lol,

I have blanked my focus.

I had a used Astra before which had EGR problems which only appeared after about 1000 of me owning it.

Turns out the previous owner stuck a load of cut up Carlsberg can to in it to mask the issue.

Should help narrow down the location now i know its a MK7 :)
