Focus 2011 Sport - Upgrade Sat Nav Disc

Hi all

I'm new here so please be gentle! (and added to that I'm useless at technology so double whammy).

I just bought a 2011 Ford Focus Sport (the old shape) and it has inbuilt sat nav. I wanted to upgrade the disc though so I went to local Ford garage where they advised me to buy the disc from a site directly as it would be easy to fit myself......... I wish !!!

The disc arrived today from Tom Tom - and it is the Ford FX 2015 Navigation SD card which is what I was told I'd need for my sat nav. I've tried reading the instructions - but already I'm stumped at the first part. It says I need to know which version sat nav I already have - it's either before version 439/636 or after it. I got as far as getting the sat nav to show me the version no. and it says 0828_090731 so I'm guessing that means it's the later version I have? (OR - is 0828 before 439???)

If the later version it says I must "skip" to page 8 - which details inserting the cd into the cd slot and then continuing - the problem is the pictures in the book don't show the same as on my system and I'm terrified I'll wipe the old SD card by accident or cause a formatting issue.

Does anyone have a simple fix please - or do I need to go to Ford Dealer and pay them to fit it?
