Picking up a Focus ST-3 at the weekend and thinking of getting it wrapped in a loud colour, the wife isn't happy so how difficult is it to remove?

you'd have to ask the wrapping company on how difficult it would be and how to remove any glue residue from the paintwork for the best answer.

what colour are you thinking of?

i'd do something a bit different to stand out - chrome, gold or chameleon!

    If the company you go with use Decent vinyl then it will stay on indefinately and should last around 6+ years before any signs of deterioration. Good care can extent the life.

    Decent vinyl is rather easy to remove once you've picked up an edge. But for the price (around £1000 give it take. More with door shuts etc) do you really want to take it off again to keep the wife happy?

    Do you know just how difficult it is to keep the wife happy! But you can't always let them have their own way!

    I think she'd rather you spend £1000 on a colour change for the car than a screwed up ball of wasted vinyl on the floor :)

    I had my mk2 Focus wrapped recently. Check out my build thread if you're interested. Cost me £1150, door shuts would've been extra (I think I was quoted £450) and the boot shut would have been more again.

    Have a look at "vinylimage" on Instagram. Hes one of the best out there that doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. He works on a lot of show cars.. I mean ALOT and his work is quality!

    He can also offer some very jnterstjng extras like embossing and REVERSE EMBOSSING :)

    Why would anyone wrap a new car?

    A car that's older and scratched yes but a new one??

    I concede that the RS500 was wrapped but that was from factory and the bodywork underneath was Panther Black underneath so purely done as a marketing decision.

    I'd only ever wrap it in clear protective vinyl if I'm honest... Even then I'd leave it paint and go for a ceramic coating
