Does anyone what the part is that screws under the exhaust and across the centre of its like a peice of metal to stop it from hanging low ?

This is the part

Nothing to do with the exhaust by the looks of it. It's a strengthening bar or similar. Ill check microcst when I finish work at around midnight unless Clive beats me to it

It's a cross-member.

It give the car body strength and stops the body twisting.

If you go to a Ford parts desk they will be able to get the part with 100% accuracy.
