Hi just picked up a 'mint' condition Focus Titanium 2009, with satnav console, sold however with a few small problems which i would ask the group if they know of the cure or possible remedy

1- Reverse Camera - Works but with heavy stutter in the picture/display

Guessing its a loose connection to the rear of the console but tbf i have no idea

2- Phone menu - I have my phone in use (iphone 6) the names are displayed in surname first, how do i reverse this to pre name first (as set up on my iphone)

3- Voice - when i ask various controls they work, when i try 'call xxxxxxxx' I get nothing. Bare in mind i have tried 'call john taylor/call taylor john' etc; is there another word in preference to 'call' i can use, as the other commands work?

4- iphone 6 and 4 work using mic jack but songs need to be controlled by the phone and display reads 'aux'. if i use USB i can control the iphone but get almost nothing except static. is there a cure? I have in the meantime purchased a cable which splits the usb and jack and has a duel connect to my phone....i hope this works

I had the very same problem and this is what i managed to
find out.

First the car has its own phone directory, so you have to
put Name and number into the car first,

1, Press the Voice button and say "Phone" the car
will say back "PHONE"

2, then say "STOR NAME" the car will say
"NAME PLEAS"

3, Then Say the Name you want in this case we'll say
"JOHN" the car will then say "STORE NAME, NAMW PLEASE"

4, Now say "JOHN" as clearly as you can. the car will say "REPEAT NAME PLEASE" say "JOHN" again clearly

5, The car will now say "STORNING NAME... "JOHN"-STORED.... NUMBER PLEASE"

6, Now say their phone number in blocka together but very clear

"ZERO, ONE, TWO, THREE" the car will repeat your number back to you

7, If the number is correct say "STORE" the car
will say "STORING NUMBER saying the number NUMBER STORED"

Repeat these instructions for all your numbers.

From now on when you need to use the phone press the voice

button and say

"DIAL NAME" car will say "NAME PLEASE"
you say "JOHN" car will say "DIAL"John" YES, NO" say "Yes" the car

will now dial the number...

(When the car says the name you want it will be in your own voice)

This Is the only way I could get the voice dial to work? And it

works every

Time. Someone else might be able to show us both another

The usb/aux thing is common.

There is an oem cable with an iphone connector/aux on one end and usb on the other but as you are on iphone 6 you'd need a lightning connector adaptor too (plus you need to have phone volumes set to max level).

Ford used to have a link for a bt module software update to allow usb only connectivity however they doscontinued the link.

I'm sure someone here will still have the files and instructions saved somewhere.
