1.6 Tdci Throttle Body Hose

Featured Replies

Majority of my problems appear to have been solved now by giving it a thorough service and replacing all filters, oil, spraying all connectors and MAF sensor with contact cleaner and it's now running smooth as a nut! (Well, as smooth as a diesel will ever be!).

Last point of possible concern is a little oil that appears to be being shot out of where the throttle body hose is (this bit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Focus-1-6-Tdci-Throttle-Body-Hose-/252082129319?hash=item3ab14409a7 ) - the hose doesn't look split and it appears tight. Someone's had it off before as the top was clasped with a cable tie which I've replaced with a sturdy jubilee clip instead but that doesn't appear to have helped.

Not a lot of oil by any means, just looks like it's been a "spurt" every now and then.

Anything to be concerned about? Or may it be as simple as a gasket?

Can anyone shed any light on this? Checked again today after cleaning it all up and once again there's quite a lot of oil on top of this hose and surrounding areas. Definitely not coming from the rocker cover or oil cap. All injectors look clean and dry.
