Abs Error Ford Focus 1.6 Tdc 2013

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 2013 Ford Focus 1.6 DTC eco.

I changed the brake pads the other day and after running the car I got a ABS warning.

I looked on the web ands read that I should remove the neg terminal of the battery to clear the error.

I removed the battery term and replaced it after tem mins but this did not clear the fault. Instead I now had an immobaliser error also comming up together with Park assist error also. The car also fails to start due to the immobiliser error.

I left the car for 24 hrs with the battery connected and when I went back to the car it now started and the immobiliser error had cleared but the ABS light was still on.

I purchased two new front ABS sensors and replaced them but it also failed to clear the problems. I wanted to take the car into Ford but they said they could not look at it for 2 weeks:(

Does anybody have any idea's at to what this could be.

Oh, by the way I checked the plugs for the ABS and they are seated correctly.

It will most likely need the ABS codes clearing with suitable diagnostics equipment.

Have you checked that the abs plug is firmly in place I had it happen to me and ford hadn't properly seated the plug and connector and it had come loose

Both sides have been checked and the plug is seated correctly.
