Clutch Slipping After Changing Clutch And Pp

Featured Replies

Bought a mk6 with clutch gone. Did clutch and also found pedal was not attached to plunger under pedal.

Now car still slips.

Pedal feels perfect but when I go to push in gear I can hear plate touching while spinning and pulls slightly but not enough to drive/move.

When put it in reverse it grinds and slams in without that noise, like clutch isn't doing anything

What can this be?

Has the clutch fluid been bled through? They use the same resovoir as the Brakes

Reverse on these cars has no syncromesh. So unless you're perfectly still, it WILL crunch & it's not great to do it too much.

It sometimes helps to come to a stop, 3rd gear & then straight into reverse

It won't drive that far lol won't pull away. Bleed nipple is sucking back in when pedal is right up so think it's not bleeding correctly due to pedal plunger, so got one to fit tonight

Of its sucking back In when the pedal is back up then surely you haven't tightened the nipple up again prior to releasing the pedal?

No I mean I tighten it,Pedal released right up and when I open nipple it instantly sucks like the vacuum is wrong

Ah I understand now
