New Bastuck Exhaust. Christmas Came Early!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

My bastuck exhaust from germany arrived today and was fitted for (£50) by a local garage which I don't think is bad at all. I got the exhaust from european car parts and it was posted quickly via UPS Standard. Some pictures here:

Sounds good to me outside the car. Will upload the video if anyone wants it. Only problem is its quite loud inside so I'm thinking I will purchase some sound deadening materials and install it tomorrow to have a perfect balance of interior and exterior sound. I know the exhaust looks like it extrudes a bit currently but once I finish painting the ST bumper and diffuser it should make it look normal!

Looking good mate,

How much did it cost in total including shipping and fitting?💷

It was a complete exhaust system from bastuck fitting including VAT for the goods too is: £575.48. What you reckon in comparison to yous lenny?

cost much the same as the Piper Performance T304 2.5" system

except the Bastuck doesn't have a high flow pre silencer but then mine's a bit different being Diesel

overall the finished results look much the same 👍

I could have opted for the a resonator(pre silencer) but it was extra. I think deleting the resonator and having a straight pipe like mine also increases performance slightly. Who knows

the Resonator is the same straight through pipe; difference is it has a lagging jacket on outside to absorb vibrations to reduce noise inside the car at the corresponding location under middle of front seats

had i got a petrol engine id be happy to listen to it but being a grumbling diesel i prefer to have the resonator fitted.

you should esquire about changing the catalyst for a 200cell this would get the most out of the new exhaust system as well flowing 50% more than the existing catalyst as well as keeping things road legal and MOT compliant.

Lenny, On the isle of man we have no MOT(You only have to do it once ie if you bring a new car over it has to have an MOT.) It's a silly system but yeah. Anyway I don't have a catalyst on my exhaust so its pretty free flowing! haha

Finished painting the ST-3 bumper today and fitted it I think it looks sweet just wish the pipes aligned slightly better. Just need to apply my resin to the bumper and she'll match the rest of the car. Opinions?
