MONDEO TXS 2.2
It's bacteria in the system / air vents - do you use it often ?
mintalkin
I always run a can of air con cleaner through the system every 12 months it stops any bad smels and kills off any bacteria. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/air-con/comma-aircon-cleaner

Stoney871
It's buried under the dash and can be a pig to access (think scuffed knuckles and mucho swearing). Only way to be sure is remove it. I'd say it definitely needs doing though plus run a can of AC cleaner through too to renove bacteria etc.
tommyaweek
Anyone know of a youtube vid or pictures of specification to do it
iantt
Easy, philip screwdriver or small flat blade, and a torx screwdriver or simular, takes all of 3 mins .
iantt
Drivers foot well, theres a console side trim panel that runs from clutch pedal area towards gear lever, need to remove the trim retainer either using screwdriver to unscrew centre of it or use flat bladed and lever the centre part of retainer clip. Then pull that panel away and at same time press clutch pedal down so you can rest panel between clutch pedal and brake pedal. That gives you plenty of room to remove the 1 or 2 torx screws depending on age from pollen filter cover,
