Beeping After Battery Change

I've just bought a 54 plate Focus C-Max 1.6 diesel. The previous owner told me that he has very recently changed the battery and since then there has been this beeping sound from the dash. It is a long beep that sounds for about 3 seconds every couple of minutes. Any suggestions on what could be causing it and how to rectify?

    Can you test the battery, these c Max's need the correct battery due to the smart charge system they use. Is the battery a silver calcium one?

    cant say I have seen that particular error after changing my battery on my old cmax... sounds like a wiring issue perhaps?
