Passenger Speaker Not Working

Featured Replies

i bought some speakers to upgrade the ford ones i then realised the passenger speaker wasnt working but thought it was the speaker gone caput .so just finished installing the new speakers and the passenger one is still not working .ive looked at the block at the back of the stereo all seems ok,looked at the door connecter seems ok hard to check properly .

any ideas what else to look for ?

Quite possibly a broken wire in the door harness? Easiest way to check is with a multimeter check continuity from speaker connection to the stereo harness. I've not looked myself but would assume colour match on wires at both ends. If it is broken in the door harness you really need to replace that cable and not rejoin it at the door or it will probably break again

ill try that was thinking something to do with the head unit .all the other speakers work ok.

i can see another week with door cards off

You could try connecting one of the old speakers into the back of the multiplug at the head unit just to make sure it's ok. But I've never personally had 1 channel down. Unless stupid question but the fader and balance isn't set to turn that speaker off is it?
