Focus 2 Sony Cd Aux Ouptou

Featured Replies

Hello i have a 2007 RHD Ford focus mk2 with the option Sony CD/MP3 ( 132 I think ) which as i have read has an aux outpout . As i understand in some ford models including mine there is no wiring from the aux outpout to the glovebox and so i had to remove the sony cd from the dashboard.

The problem is that i cannot find the aux outpout , I do not see any audio jack anywere in the sides of the base unit.

Can anyone help me ?. Is there an audio aux in this model ?

Here are the pictures of the CD player , sorry for posting links but forum wont allow me to upload photos .

Yes small white plug fits into the connector block not into the stereo theres only one position in the block it fits into then you put the block back into the rear of the stereo and hey presto

Thanks for the reply , but please clarify this to me .

In my car there is no cable coming from the stero to my glovebox , so i need to find the position is the stereo box from which i will run an external cable to use it as an aux input . Do you mean that i will find the aux outpout in the connector cables but NOT in the stero unit ?

Where you have the white block is the aux feed.

What wires do you have there now and where do they lead?

There should be 3 wires in pins 5, 6 and 11.

Aux cable wiring colours - Pin 5 is white/blue, 6 is black and 11 is white/green.

TBH, the standard Ford aux cable is woefully prone to crossed channels and wobbly sockets so you're better off fitting one with a 3.5 plug on the end and running it wherever you want it to come out-
