Idle Issues On Cold Start

Featured Replies

Good Morning All,

I have recently developed some issues on my usually reliable Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI 2008 car. About three weeks ago I encountered an issue whereby the drive train fault light started flashing on the way to work, I pulled over, turned the engine off and back on again but the fault was still there. This put me in limp mode (2000revs limit). I got it to a garage whereby the fault (on the snap on computer) was injector number 2. The injector was replaced along with a faulty wire on injector number 2 too (£350 in total).

The car ran fine for 500miles (approx. a week) until driving along the motorway (engine warm) the drive train management light come on again, I managed to get a services whereby I simply turned the engine off and back on again and it cleared the fault, I took it back to the garage whereby the faults shown were injector 2 short, injector 3 short and mass air sensor. They cleared the faults and I have now drove 200+ miles without an issues except in the mornings. The car is extremely jerky when first started in the morning the revs are up and down and sounds like it's going stall but it does not, once the engine is warm however it's fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance.
