Someone Is Trying To Tell Me Something

Featured Replies

I purchased my 2006 Focus at the beginning of August and from then it has been one problem after another.

Engine failure and a multitude of mess ups by the dealer trying to repair it, two different engines to get it sorted.

I get the car back and it splutters and misses because of an inch of water on top of the plugs. Back to the dealer it went and they replaced frost plugs.

I purchased a flip key for a MK2 from eBay and went to three different places and all said the flip key had the wrong transponder in it, 80 euro to get the correct transponder and key cut.

Finally I thought all was good until we went out on Sunday for a drive and while pulling out onto a roundabout the car beside me pulled into my lane dragging their wheel arch and mirror down the side of my car. Completely their fault and they admitted it to the police. I brought the car to Ford and they have quoted over 2000 euro for repair due to a crease along the bottom of the doors which may mean the doors need to be replaced. Damage doesn't look too bad but minimum quote for repair I have got is 1500 euro.

Beginning to think someone is trying to tell me this car is not meant for me.

don't do the loto lol

if I was you I would get shoot of it and get a another one

If it wasn't your fault, why are you paying for the repair? That's what insurance is for!

Also use an independent bodyshop rather than Ford maybe?

Her insurance will be paying for it but my own insurance company said to get some quotes. Ford was obviously at the top end of quotes and the smaller company wanted 1500. I reckon the easy solution would be to pick up two same colour doors from a breakers yard and pop them on and the problem is solved.

I think when the insurance pays out I will keep the money and sell this car on as is and buy another.

I must admit, as much as I loved my Focus, she was the same to me as yours is. The Friday car!

The car you love, that you would happily put your money to but everything for you keeps going wrong!

Yeah thats the one... I did swap in the end, and found the right ford for me! Mindel the Mondeo is looking after me, and given her age and health, she is being good to me in the grand scheme of things!

Perhaps you need to do the same, but like me, you seem to attract the idiots of the road to your car without any will or want! I would say get the quotes and get it done, but, be wary. Though its not your fault, your file is now marked for 5 years, because you have been involved in an accident, and sadly, no matter the fact its not your fault, you will have to pay a bit more per year for the privelage. I can say that safely, as I am paying for two car accidents that were sweet FA to do with me!
