Knocking Noise

Featured Replies

Hi All

So I recently bought a 03 Ford Focus 1.6 LX Automatic for the missus, had the brakepads and discs replaced, so far so good.

Past few days, I have noticed a knocking noise when driving over bumps and on uneven roads, it seems to be coming from the back.

I spoke to a mechanic over the phone and he said it could be the shock absorbers, but he will have to take it for a drive to be exact.

If it is the case that i need the shocks replaced, is this a big job? how much should i be looking to pay?

Thanks,

Hi,no it's a simple job to remove and replace a pair of rear shock absorbers.if you have the tools.I wouldn't pay more than £40 but then I would do it myself.

More likely its the rear anti roll bar bushes or links
