Hi, I've got a mk1 focus 2004 1.8 petrol. On 2 occasions when driving along, the speedo dropped to zero, the Rev counter froze, and then the car completely cut out, but when turning the key, it fired back in to life and drove perfect!, anyone got any ideas please?

    You need a new speed sensor fitted to the gearbox when it fails the above happens speedo drops revs drop car either cuts out or tries to let a garage do it as its held on with a pin that can be a pain to get out and can drop into the gearbox
