Electric Windows T Reg Fiesta LX

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I was wondering if i could seek assistance from here regarding my electric windows.

I have a T Reg fiesta and both cables for the windows have snapped (had a garage look at it when it went for MOT last week) and apparently new kit for it would cost £170 per window because Ford would only supply the whole kit not just recable them.

I have been given a number for a place in Blackburn - which isnt a million miles away. They will recable my windows for much cheaper that £170 a pop. But I have to remove the kit myself and post it to them to recable.

Firstly how easy is it to remove the kit to post them off and secondly has anyone any experience of this procedure. Would also be grateful if anybody knows of anywhere near to Leigh (near Wigan and Bolton) that does recabling?

Many thanks.

Orite m8, u will prob find tht most local garages could do the re-cableing, because its an uncommon problem though, many of themmay nt be experinced in the work itself. i would suggest shopping around n finding a local who has done it before n cheaply, its not a big job so dnt pay big bucks.
