Wiring Loom Plugs 2.5 Focus

Hi All

Does anybody have any idea how to separate the wiring loom plugs which connect up to the door harness on a 2009 Focus, the ones underneath the rubber boot, I know there must be some kind of release clip thingy but space is so tight its difficult to work out and its driving me mad. N/S door speakers not working speakers are OK as is wiring either side of the plug connector so the issue is with the actual plug just need to get the thing apart, can anybody help!!!!!!

    No that's the MKI type which are circular and twist to unlock these b******s are oblong.
