Morning everyone!

Just wondering if anyone know how to get the rear black bit out of the ST180 diffuser?

Thanks

You will need to remove the lower painted section or the diffuser first I think there are a couple of pop rivets under the central section. Then you can get the black section out.

I've not done it myself but watched Chris do it when I got my gloss black plastics done by paintmodz it's not the easiest job and seems to involve a fair amount of scuffed knuckles and expletives. Then of course you have to put it all back together

What are you doing by the way?

There are 4 rivets to drill out and two plastic nuts that hold the front edge of the painted section on under the car. Then you pull both sections off together.

When remixing some people use self tappers, plastic number plate fixings or normal rivets, the correct rivets are £2 each from ford, when used they open up like an anchor and bit into the plastic better than normal rivets. Any method should be ok though.

Thanks guys, I thought it was them I had to drill out just didn't have a drill, got it all sorted now though and I replaced the rivets with and nut and bolt to make it easier to get of for next time.

I replaced my standard staton black panels for gloss black ones, still have all my originals though!
