Focus 2007 Problem (video)

Featured Replies

Okay so my dads car has had this problem for a long time and for the life of me can't figure it out, sometimes when you blip the throttle it will cut out, when in neutral and you release the clutch it can cut out and when holding at a certain RPM it can cut out.

So here it the video to see if anyone can help I will be very happy. The problem is at the end but I put the whole video on for extended info.

If you need any more information please ask :)

Details:

Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia (Diesel)

Year : 2007 (57 Plate)

Could be the idle control valve or a gunked up throttle body.

hasnt got them as such,

have you had a dtc code reader plugged in to see if there are any dtcs?

No codes are showing up unfortunately :'(

Well just fixed something similar loose crank sensor for me, towards the end soon as I revved it cut out. Be aware that the distance of the sensor needs to be set and a ramp is best bet. If set to close will catch on pulley and breaking the sensor and pulley. Get a new sensor cheap at £10. Only a very expensive code reader might show a fault.
