Hey guys,

So today picked up a nice little 1.4 Fiesta 54 plate.. Lovely car.. but its got some problems that I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right directions and help out with..

I'll start with what I think might be the easiest to hardest..

1) Gear Gaitor and original gear knob missing, where can I get a new one and how easy to fit??

2) Electric mirrors not working at all?! Again is this an easy fix?

3) The button to open the boot not working?!

4) The big one, the speedometer is intermittent in working one min and next it don't! and the engine management light is on.

Apart from those 4 things the car drives lovely with no obvious problems I can see/feel whilst driving it!!

Any help would be much appreciated guys!!

    Did you buy from a dealer? If yes take it back.

    1. EBay, its simply screwed on and the gaiter clips on.

    2. Check your fuses.

    3. Could be linked to 2 or the solenoid in the boot is knackered, do you have a button on your key? Try that, if the boot operates, then the problem is switch side.

    4. Could be the speed transducer on the gearbox, fairly simple fix, EML light could be related.
