Mk1 Focus 2.0 Ghia Estate Rear Subframe

Featured Replies

Morning,

The rear sub frame on my '98 2.0 Ghia Estate has seen better days. I've replaced various arms, drop links etc but really it could do with all coming off for a re-vamp. That would also allow me to treat some of the rear under body at the same time.

I've can get a better condition complete rear subframe off of 2002 1.8 estate. This is the photo of the one I can get:

As I say mines a 2.0 Ghia estate so has rear discs. The 1.8 has rear drums.

Thinking that the "bulk" of the parts would be transferable allowing me to strip the new frame and blast/clean paint at my leisure.

Would the bulk of the parts be compatible?

Cheers

Looks like a good idea.I have thought about doing this myself and giving the sub frame a powder coat.
