Focus Mk2 / 2.5 Dash Lights...

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've looked around in an attempt to answer this for myself - but can't find anything to confirm, so nothing left but to ask...

what color are the back-lit / LED's on MK2.5 / facelift Focus's?

I've got a Mk2 (05) and have fitted the later model stereo with red lights etc - Does the later model heater panel, window switch / light switch glow red to suit the stereo's or are they all green?

I'm upgrading the cluster (to the later model (red) back-light setup) and would be nice if everything matched... I know there are people who will change every individual LED, but wanted to know if the later model gear would avoid that hassle..

Thanks in advance!

The lights on the mk2.5 are all red/amber ish lol you do know you can't just change the cluster without programming it into your car? The cluster contains all the immobiliser bits so you'd need to program keys etc with either ids or forscan otherwise your car won't start

Exactly. I just replaced mine IC. I paid 30 for IC but 130 for reprogram and mileage correction

Yep - I'm happy doing the PATS programming / Forscan etc, that's no issue... Thanks for the the heads up though - but have already worked all that out!

OK...So, with the bits & pieces from later model's glowing red / amber then I just need to start collecting them then.. Cool, Ebay here we come!

Is there a specific year mode where they changed so I know what I'm shopping for? The advertisers aren't exactly listing them based on what color they glow :-/

59 onwards is definitely mk2.5
