i've seen some focus ST brakes and discs but before making the deal i wanted to know if its a straight swap or is there more involved.

also, i take it the discs are bigger so what is the minimum size wheel i can put on - i have some 16's with winter tyres on and ideally would like to be able to use them!

The discs are 330mm or there about if I recall, they won't work with 16 inch wheels though. I was going to put bigger brakes on Mondeo but I can't as I use steel wheels for the winter.

there's times when i dont feel too confident with my brakes hence why i was thinking of upgrading. might check my pads and see if there are better pads out there that i could use.

any recommendations? i'm not too fussed about brake dust as long as it does the job!

bugger, if i cant use my winter wheels then its a no-no from me too.

If you have the money to upgrade do so

Dont forget your rear drum brakes

What do you have just now? you can get 300mm on 16s. If you cant increase the rota look at the calliper and get an after market job, 2 or a 4 pot calliper with the same discs will dramatically increase the torque on it. just keep in mind you will need to scale the rears as well
