Hello. I have a problem with 1st and 2nd gear on my car.
1st gear is so tricky and hard to "push in" that when I move of the gear pop out and makes that weird noise.
I know my gearbox needs oil change but I'm more concern about gear synchro ring or gear shift cable that is attached to the gearbox

Now - what's the proper name of that cable thing that is attached between gear shift stick and gearbox ?

    Gearchange cable. There are two. How about reverse? does that select ok?

    Hope you find out the issue when I had my Fiesta MK7 first gear was tough and it was a pain in the backside selecting reverse without the gears grinding I had to be rolling slightly so it would slip in

    Yes. Reverse is also hard to select.

    It sounds like your GearChange Cables need adjustment.

    Also get the Gearbox oil level checked
