Coming Back To The Focus, Advice Needed!

Featured Replies

Hi all

After a few months away ive been enjoying my honda civic.

I am thinking of coming back to the ford focus as i do miss driving fords.

I am looking at getting a mk3 1.6 ecoboost 1.6.

Im more inclined to go for a zetec s 182bhp version as they look mint, my only issue is that i like the titanium interior but you cant get both unfortunatly.

I drove a 1.0 ecoboost 125bhp and it felt so gutless, so i have to get the 1.6.

Is it possible to change the interior of the zetec s into more of a titanium, stuff like the head unit etc.

And is the 182bhp a good choice of engine, is there anything i need to look out for when buying one of these.

prob cheaper to mod the titanium to the zs, or at least cheaper from the point of view you can do it a bit at a time, replacing the contents of the zs cabin might be a big payout in one go but perhaps cheaper in the long run

When I was looking around at a Ford Dealer near me a few years ago, you could get a Titanium with the Zetec S bodykit so it might be worth going down to a Ford Dealer and just ask if they have any Focus Titanium's with the Zetec S bodykit.

Having had both a Zetec S and Titanium X I'd say it is easier to fit Zetec S parts to a Titanium than the other way around.

Titanium has soft touch door panels, ambient lighting, Sony sound system, deluxe headliner, overhead console with sunglasses bin, etc.

The ambient lighting is almost impossible to retrofit.

Whereas you can get all the bodykit parts and sports suspension to fit a Titanium with ease.

thanks for the responses.

If i was just looking to change the ford head unit into the sony one how easy is that to do and at what cost

the 150ps and 182ps engines are identical mechanically so you could always re-map it if you get the 150ps, and go over 200
