Featured Replies

hi all :)

today was water pump change and while i was at i thought i do the belt. this is my firsrt time at doing this type of belt as iv only eveer done ohv. ive used a locking kit and all is fine there and cam sprockets looaend off aswell. prob i have come across is the teninsor is diff ernt to the one i have. my kit was bought using the reg of the car. so i thought i ask on here rather than heading back to the shop. i shall post some pics of what i have and what came off.post-62890-0-14539400-1445621691_thumb.jpost-62890-0-53974200-1445621686_thumb.jpost-62890-0-46787900-1445621682_thumb.j

the one that came off came in two bits and new one is one piece with a pin in it and arrow but not sure were arrow would go.

any infor appricated thanks

Thats a completely different tensioner. Regardless of using the reg, your gonna need to swap that.

I done a belt on a fiesta mk6 1.4 and there were 6 variants listed for the reg!

Think you will find the old eccentric tensioner has been replaced by the later auto tensioner that were fitted from sept 2003 onwards.
