Can any one tell me the difference between different mods of the new 1.5 lite ecoboost engine

Is it just the ECU Map or there are changes in the internals or other parts ?

Thanks in advance

Ah I see.

No physical differences that I am aware of. Just a different map.

Are you sure ?

No changes in the inter-cooler or the exhaust system ?

If that is true, This means that i can get around 200 hp with an ECU Remap

The 1.6 had no physical differences between versions so I don't see any reason for Ford to change for the 1.5.

The 150 and 180 produce the same amount of torque up until about 4k or 4.5k rpm at which point the 150 map starts to flatten out while the 180 goes a bit further.

Superchips website states that the 150 hp variant expected gain in power after remap is 47 hp while the 182 hp variant is 25 hp only

This backs up the fact that the difference is just a different map

Interesting comment, as you say, the mathematical difference is small:

150 + 47 = 197 hp

182 + 25 = 207 hp

Which is only 5%

Maybe Superchips themselves like to "market a difference"?

Seems to be the modern way these days, identical engines, just the manufactures fiddling with the map settings to create a marketing strategy.

Buy a brand new car and then budget £400 for a chip to get it to "run right".

All this rubbish about the manufacturers having to cater for different fuel qualities and servicing neglect.

Back on topic, does anyone have the engine specs for the 150/182?
