Yellow Stain Appeared??

Featured Replies

Hi all, I need some help with removing a yellow stain which has appeared on the bonnet of my fiesta. I'm not sure whether it's from bird poo or pollen or sap. I'm very careful when it comes to these on the paintwork so I will clean them off as soon as I see them appear.

But last time I washed my car I noticed this yellow stain on the bonnet. The car is frozen white so it's more noticeable.

I've tried using a bit of t-cut and also some polish, which after some effort part of the stain disappeared (from the raised groove of the bonnet) I don't want to keep going at it with the t-cut as I don't want to cause any damage to the surrounding paintwork. Anyone have any advice / tips.

I've attached 2 pictures, which hopefully you can make out the yellow stains.

Get a clay bar + clay lube. Can't really see the yellow stains very well but a clay bar will remove them, I'm not sure which grade you'd be better off getting though, I just use heavy every 6months and a medium every month

Claying every month? Wow.. your car must take some abuse! Aha

As above, try a clay bar. But whilst you're at it, try some fallout remover on the rest of the car too. You'll be disgusted as to what appears! Especially on white! Haha

Also, T cut is the devils work. don't put it anywhere near anything of value to you..

If something needs polishing, polish it by hand with some proper polishes

Thank you for the quick replies, much appreciated! I will give both of those a try, fingers crossed it comes off!

Work on a farm and travel down country roads that have 3 farms where the cows cross the roads, you'd be surprised how much stuff my car picks up, mainly on the boot and at the back of the arches. So I'd rather just de-contaminate every month and rewax presuming it only takes about 3-4 hours + I have a 2 pots of wax to use up and a bottle of liquid wax as well,
