Airbag Fault?

Featured Replies

Okay so I had a crash a while back on my nearside front wing, pushed the wheel back and bent the wishbone and all surrounding components, luckily it didn't touch the chassis the car tipped onto its side but the airbags didn't go off? Is this because it only hit the very nearside of the car? Is there any way the airbags can be tested?

Airbags will only go off within the parameters they are set to go off in. They won't go off in every accident depending upon speed deceleration and other sensors that measure the impact.

Only way to test if they do work 100% is to crash harder next time lol

Diagnostics will show if there are any faults with the system as long as the system appears to be working then they should go off when required.
