Looking at replacement clutch kits (inc slave cylinder??) and a new alternator for my Focus MK1 1.6 Zetec.

After searching the eurocarparts website there seems to be a fair few brands.

Any brands people suggest? or even avoid?

Also other suppliers other than eurocarparts worth looking at?

For your clutch kit, I'd say Valeo

For your alternator, I'd go with Bosch or Lucas

I'd avoid the cheaper aftermarket brands, from experience, they tend to fail significantly earlier than the premium aftermarket brands or the OEM manufacturers.

Have you tried fordpartsuk.com? Discounted genuine Ford supplier. Your clutch kit is certainly cheaper from them than the Europarts.

Another large motor factor would be GSF Car parts - gsfcarparts.com, prices about the same as europarts

Valeo, LuK or Sachs for clutch. Stay away from rubbish such as transmech!

Alternator would Bosch, Lucas or Denso. Again stay away fr rubbish like Rtx.

Also I know they suggest you change something else while doing the clutch, but for the life of me I can't think what it is?

The space cylinder should be changed with the clutch, it's also part of the kit from ECP.

Thanks for the help and the discount code, looks like the LUK one for my car is out of stock, will try and ring them tomorrow to find out when/if it will be back in stock.
