Focus Mk2 Weak Radio Signal

Featured Replies

Got an issue with the Radio in the Focus (MK2 2007 with Sony headunit) For some reason the Radio signal keep going from totally fine to very weak. I've tried taking the headunit out and checking all the connections (which were fine) and I also removed the interior light and checked all the connections on the ariel, dismantled it and there does not seem to be any corrosion etc on the ariel or base.

Is there anything else I should check? I'm wondering if it's an ariel issue or an issue with the headunit.

Cheers!

Have you checked the thread between the aerial and base for corrosion too?

Are you listing in DAB as this can suffer from signal black spots?

Hey, Yeah, I took it apart and it seemed ok, went over it with a wire brush just to be sure but did not seem to make much difference. Is there anything inside the base that could be damaged?

Not DAB no, it's just normal Analog.
