Focus St Spring's

Featured Replies

Hi can anybody help?

I have a 1.6 zetec s mk2.5 and have been offered a set of springs from a ST will they fit on the front strut's or will I need to get a set of dampers as well?

You'll find the car will not sit right. The 2.5 is a heavier engine and the springs will be designed for it and not the weight of your 1.6.

Hi

Thanks I suppose the ride night will be higher than it should be?

Yeah, it will end up sitting high at the front due to lack of weight.

I have a set of H&R 40mm springs for sale if you're interested.

Sent from my iPhone 5s.

Why not fit the correct Eibach Optional Lowering springs that were offered by the dealerships at the time for normal cars (non st)

I recall seeing them in the brochures

St springs are for eeer well Focus St's with the 2.5 litre volvo engine and its heavier ancilaries

Hi

Yes I should have known it's just a work colleague said that he had a set of brand new in still in the box that I could have for free.

Just got to justify the cost of a set off eBay now lol.

take the springs, then flog them on ebay getting you the money to get your own :)
