Tail light problem.

Featured Replies

Hi there wondering if anyone can help I have a Ford Ranger XLT, 52 plate.

The other day whilst driving it the dash light for the fog light lit up every time I touched the brake. Then if I switched the switch the dash light would go dim. Touch the brake and it pops on again. Then the fog light and front and back indicaters started to go on as well every time the brake is touched.

I thought it was maybe something to do with the wiring for the trailer so I replaced it and the fault had gone took it for a quick run and it started it again so I dissconected it again but still there now. I have replaced all the conections on the tail lights and all the bulbs but still no joy.

If I dissconect the tail lights though the light on the dash goes out but then as soon as you put them back on it lights up again.

Im completely stumped any help would be greatly welcome.

Regards Highlander123

sounds like a bad earthing problem.
