Hi, I've bought the Mrs a nice '07 Focus 1.6D Ghia estate and want to make a decent job of wiring a dashcam.

so I guess the 2 questions are:

  1. How to hide the power cable from the rear view mirror area to the dash
  2. Where to connect to a suitably fused switched live or any spare fusebox connection that's easy to get to.

    Great, thanks. Pretty much the same as my Passat. IIRC there are 2 different size fuses - what size piggyback do I need?

    All the fuses in the footwell box are mini blade type.

    if you are at all interested, I make the piggyback wiring kit myself for £15, I've done at least a half dozen for Club members with no dramas and the cables can be tailored to suit various needs/fitting locations.

    fuse 110 is ignition switched if that helps at all
