First Full Service (2 Year)

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Got my 2013 ford fiesta and it's 2 year full service is due in January (including pollen filter etc ).

Trust ford quoted me £275! Shopped about and was quoted around the £230 mark from the others, I have managed to convince Trust ford to match £230.

Can anyone advise, is this around about the right price or is it over priced?? Kind Regards

In my experience all Fraud stealers overcharge on labour for what is a fairly simple service, albeit called a '' full service ''

Oil & filter & pollen filter & possible brake fluid change & a poke about is all they do i.i.r.c.

So, about 75% of the total cost is labour .

You don't state what engine is in your car - but my neighbour's 2013 1.25 Zetec doesn't even get the spark plugs changed at the 2 year / 25,000 miles service interval

You'll be better off trying to find a decent Indie & as long as they use genuine Fraud parts your warranty remains intact & should be cheaper.

Daylight robbery! It's crazy.

Sorry mine is a 1.25 also. It's currently at 22,000 miles.

I think I'll take your advice and shop around a bit more, thanks for the quick response!

No problem & you are welcome :)

Brake fluid is an extra £35 if you get it done. I had my 2 year service today but declined it as I hope to do my brakes early next year so will do it all then

I called my local ford dealer yesterday for the prices on the parts I need for the service.

Oil filter, pollen filter, air filter and x4 sparks cost £82.70 Inc VAT.

Got hold of my mate who works in a garage about half hour from me and he can do the work for £48 labour charge.

So that plus oil around £25-£30 is going to total me roughly £160. Apposed to £275 I was quoted at first by trust ford.

Also a little note, I have Brakes for Life on my fiesta so I will take it to them just after my service to have them changed free of charge that will save me some cash too.
