Reversing Light Failure /Fault

Featured Replies

Hi all, just after a bit of advice if that's O.K.

The reversing lights on my Dad's Fusion have stopped working. Checked the fuse and both bulbs and all OK.

Did a search and found some instructions on how to change the reverse light switch on the gearbox for a Fiesta. Now I assume the location is exactly the same, but just after confirmation that the Fusion switch is in the same location. See picture below.

As per the Fiesta instructions, I bridged the gap with a piece of wire to bypass the switch, but the lights did not come on.(Engine running)

Could the black connector block be faulty, just thinking about scraping the cover back, and getting a definite connection.

Any other suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
