Air Filter Reducer (To Fit Aftermarket Filters)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I will be fitting a straight shot induction kit for my 1.4 TDCi, its got the standard KP35 turbo which is laughably small, just checking the OD of the compressor housing and its something like 35mm or around 1.5". I believe the MAF is 2.5" (still need to check) but I basically need to find an adapter that will allow me to mount the MAF to the front of the turbo. I haven't really come across any adaptors to allow me to have a straight shot into the turbo (taking air from behind the passenger headlight). Should I just use the standard OEM pipe and attach an induction kit to that instead? I guess if I really need I could look to just get a circular block of silicone and bore a hole in the centre then clamp a pipe to it - it wouldn't be under pressure on that side of the turbo.

Just wondering what options people suggest.

Just realised that there are 35mm and 50mm filters for bikes - would be interesting to fit one of those directly to the turbo! :P
