Yellow Relay 94Bg-14N089-E1B

Featured Replies

Anyone know what this relay is for as I found it dangling down the near side of the radiator. It is attached to a wiring loom. I cable tied it up to stop it getting mangled in the fan.

A quick google indicates it MAY be the indicator relay . . .

Although it's rated @ 40 amps . . .

Google can be your friend when it comes identifying to things like this :)

Its the relay for the cooling fan. i had to replace mine earilier this year.

it should be hooked onto a peice of metal right under the passenger side headlamp

That photo is indeed the cooling fan relay, its attatched to a modified wiring harness that ford had to install as the cooling fan modules had issues with overheating with potential to catch fire, it entailed wiring harness , plwstic cover for module and lower rated fuse,, open the engine bay fusebox and you will see extra wire and connector.
