Transmission Fluid Type For Mk3 Focus Ecoboost

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone know what spec/grade of transmission fluid the mk3 focus takes. I can't seem to find a guide anywhere about the type of gear oil the car takes.

Also what is the normal service interval on the transmission fluid

It's a 1.6 ecoboost 180bhp version.

Any help muchly appreciated

There is no service interval.

Is there a general recommendation on how often it should be changed.

My car is coming up to 4 years old now.

dont think a fluid change would hurt things

Never , well I wouldn't unless you got a leak or having clutch done. The oil is for life of gearbox on Ford's except power shift and ranger.

change it as often as you like.

Ford and other manufacturers think oil can last forever
