Fuelling Fault Finally Found On 1.8Tdci Focus.

Featured Replies

I have had a fault on my 09 1.8tdci Focus which has now been resolved, at about 1800-2000 revs (when engine warm!) It would start coughing & spluttering & lose power, nothing found on diagnostic checks, took it to a recommended mechanic & after a few tests he picked up faults with the fuel injectors, had all four took out & sent away for testing, all four failed tests (to do with the ohms) had four new ones fitted & for now it seems to be running fine, hopefully it is problem solved (touch wood & all that!) Have posted about this fault on here previously & noticed others have had same issue, I hope this helps although be prepared for the bill as it ain't cheap!

Thanks for that. What did it cost you in the end?

there is a thread on here about this engine
