billsbacker
Hey guys, Bought my '12 zetec tdci earlier this year and things have been running smoothly until the last couple of weeks when I've noticed what I can only describe as a groan when releasing the clutch at the bite. It's farily intermittent in so much as it doesn't occur every single time. The sound appears to be coming from under the hood and only ever occurs when in first or reverse. As soon as the gear is fully engaged it stops and there's no other sensation like a vibration or anything similar and no loss of power either. I didn't really want to make a new thread for this but I've asked around and did some looking online but I can't seem to find any good solutions. I'm hoping it'll be something as simple as applying some grease but I'm reluctant to do anything in case it may be something more. If anyone could weigh in at all with some suggestions I'd be really grateful. Cheers!
alexp999
Does it do it more on hills, high load or when cold? If so it sounds like the clutch release bearing. How many miles on the car?
